Let there be gold

Hi everyone,

Christmas has been celebrated in every possible way and I can honestly say that the 2012 edition was awesome. Our gran - who got really sick a few weeks ago - was present and she even brought a basket filled with jokes. We had a lot of laughs and everyone seemed pleased with the food and the gifts. As one of my resolutions of last year was to learn how to cook, I felt confident enough to be in charge of the Christmas catering. It was nerve-wracking but I pulled it off anyway! So proud of myself. I hope Martha Stewart will be equally proud, as it were her recipes that saved Christmas (and my a**), wink.

My brother was - fortunately - very happy with his SX cd, a magnetic Indiepop band from - where else - Belgium. Therefore, let there be Gold!

My mum also loved her book "Onder Vrienden" (Among Friends) by PB Gronda, so much even she finished it the next evening. Let "Among friends" be the motto for 2013, because what in life is more important than good friends?

And last but not least, my dad seemed also very pleased. All happy faces on Christmas eve chez nous. Little gadgets are the best presents, like this zipper bookmark:

ZIPmark

Et moi, you ask? Oh! I got an addiction addition, shaped as an OPI nail polish in the perfect Astrid Bryan black.

My pimped out wonderland

What did you give/get this Christmas?

A little late but: a very merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year's party!

Love,
Juliana and the Let there be gold Daydream

PS. Before I forget, thanks to my brother, I got proof of a successful Christmas eve dinner. Je vous présente: dessert!

  1. I LOVE black nail polish!
Very curious about what was on the menu, since you did catering. Maybe an idea for a blog post?
